Welcome to The Pulse!  Please take a minute to check out what's happening in the life of COTA.

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING
Please join your church in praying for the following requests for the life and mission of the church:

+ Please pray for all who are sick, lonely, poor, in prison or afraid, that the Lord would speak his love to them, and free them from their suffering, to the glory of his name.

+ Pray also for our Discovering Apostles class this Saturday, that those who attend would be encouraged to hear about God's work in our church, and also that they would become excited about how God would have them go deeper in relationships and in serving him in our church body.

+ Pray for the Lord to make his name known in the country of North Korea, so that many North Koreans would believe, and any plans for violence would be thwarted.

THIS SUNDAY @ APOSTLES

Scripture:  1 John 4:16 | John 16:12-15
Message:  He Is Real  ~ Rev. Curt Solomon

WHAT'S HAPPENING @ APOSTLES

This weekend, Jonathan and Amanda Noël will be in San Diego, CA, leading worship for a conference with Momentum Europe, a growing movement of Christ-centered business and professional leaders who are having an impact reaching influential leaders in Europe, with the love of Jesus. Please pray for the Noëls and for this ministry.  You can read more about Momentum Europe, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), here:  momentumeurope.org.

Staff Transitions Updates
Over the past few months, the Leadership Council and Pastors have been discussing our staff structure with regards to Student Ministry. We have decided that we would return to two full time staff - one director and one assistant - with each focusing primarily on discipleship relationships. With that in mind, we have hired Emily Gebbie to a full-time assistant role effective May 30.  READ MORE

Leadership Council nominations are currently being taken until April 30.  If there is someone that you would like to nominate for Leadership Council please use the link below.

Single adults of all stages of life - unmarried, divorced, widowed - are invited to take part in a discussion about what it is like to be single in the church.  This will be an informal gathering (with desserts, of course) where people can meet and share with one another.  Contact Laura Witter {[email protected]} for more information.

Young adults, join us  May 7 at 10:00am (between services) in the courtyard for another informal gathering of coffee and fellowship as we continue to build connections and plan exciting upcoming events.

Whether you just swing by or stay the entire hour, all are welcome.
Childcare available in the nursery.

Have ideas for future events? Want to stay in the loop for what's next?

FROM THE FINANCE DIRECTOR
Praise to the Lord for the $5,651 collected for the Easter Offering to our Benevolence Fund!  The Benevolence Ministry provides financial assistance to members of Church of the Apostles and to the community at large.  The goal of this work is to bring Christ to the individual. The Benevolence Ministry Team looks at each situation to see how we as the body of Christ can offer help in stabilizing one's situation.  Assistance often addresses not only physical needs, but spiritual and emotional, as well.

If you know or your community group are aware of someone in need, please contact Eric Bolash or the church office so that the Benevolence Ministry can prayerfully consider how to best help those in need.

MEN'S MINISTRY
The Men's Ministry is hosting their annual National Day of Prayer gathering on Thursday, May 4th at the church.  This is a great community prayer opportunity, all men are welcome.  We will gather at 6:30am, commence prayer at 6:45am, and be finished before 8:00am.

Men of Apostles!  You are invited to join us for this evening of food and fellowship.  Please RSVP to Frank Andrassy | [email protected] .
