Building Bridges Over Walls
Guests of The Perfecting Church Attending the Ramadan Friendship Dinner presented by Turkish Cultural Center New Jersey on June 23, 2016

The South Jersey branch of Turkish Cultural Center New Jersey ( TCCNJ) hosted guests of The Perfecting Church for iftar at its Ramadan Friendship Dinner on Thursday, June 23, 2016.  Iftar is the meal eaten by Muslims after sunset to break their day-long fast during Ramadan.  TCCNJ invited Pastor Kevin C. Brown to share the Christian perspective on fasting, followed by the dinner which granted guests the opportunity to break bread with Muslims, Jews and Christians.
TCCNJ aims to not only promote respect and mutual understanding between American and Turkish cultures, but among all faiths through cultural and educational activities, fostering unity and a better society.
"Clearly our world is changing," said Pastor Kevin C. Brown of The Perfecting Church.  "The question for us as followers of Jesus and members of His church is, 'What's our greatest call, to protect the borders of nations or to build bridges that extend citizenship to all in His Kingdom?'"
Our heartfelt condolences to and prayers for those victimized by the terrorist attack at Instabul Ataturk Airport on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.  In these times of crisis, may we remember, "Love never fails."

Love in the Park
Saturday, August 13, 2016

By Pastor Kevin C. Brown
July 1, 2016

Our days are dark.  Acts of violence and terrorism both domestically and internationally seem to be a nearly daily occurrence.  Our courts are making unprecedented decisions that are reshaping the way we value life, see family, define marriage and function as a society in general.  The gap between the poor and the uber rich is widening.  There are now 65 million refugees in the world, more than any point in recorded history and nations are violent, xenophobic and working to close their borders...
