SUPPORT is always a buzzword at Alameda Center, and during this month of October, it showed up in many forms - even reaching across the ocean in a concerted effort to assist the Puerto Rican Community. 

Dr. Gonzalez, Director of our Hispanic Program timely reached out to Mayor Jimenez in Puerto Rico, stating Alameda's support and readiness to assist Nursing Home bound patients while Puerto Rico rebuilds. 

In heartfelt appreciation of the many ways in which they support our community, we were proud to host our 2nd Annual BBQ Party for Police Officers, Firefighters & EMS personnel.

Going Pink every Friday in October to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our staff showed great team spirit - and readiness on behalf of this worthy cause. 

Finally, our NEW Admissions Team, all of them bilingual, is upholding our tradition of support to our Patients, Residents and their family members throughout the admissions process, helping them navigate the insurance coverage, easing their transition to Alameda's distinctive clinical excellence.

Dr. Jorge Gonzalez - Director of Alameda's Hispanic Program & Physician/Community Liaison:
Dr. Gonzalez is a respected member in the Perth Amboy Community and the medical community at large whose strong relationships with doctors allow our patients and residents to connect with highly regarded specialists when needed.

Israel Kanarek - Admissions Director:
Here to serve and a good source of guidance, Israel's friendly personality allows our patients, residents, and their family members to feel confident knowing there's an efficient and caring person in charge of their admissions process.

David Boles - Case Manager:
David's relationships with case managers and social workers at local hospitals eases the admissions process for our patients, residents and their family members. David's clinical background is only surpassed by his truly caring manner.

Diana Candell - Admissions Clerk:
Fluent in Spanish, Diana makes sure our patients can express their needs in their own language without the stress of having to look for the right words at the time of Admission - and throughout their stay at Alameda!

Alameda's Latest Success Story

I am a healthy man who just underwent successful knee surgery at JFK Medical Center. The doctors told me I would have to go through therapy to get my knee back in shape. It was brought to my attention that Alameda Center in Perth Amboy does an outstanding job catering to my culture and provides Indian food as well. Everything about this place is just good! Therapy. Food. People. I absolutely recommend Alameda to anyone. I enjoyed all the people here, from the other residents to the staff, everyone was so nice. A special thank you to the 3rd floor nurses who go above and beyond for their residents.
