FREE Open Enrollment Event

In conjunction with the new Open Enrollment period for Connect for Health Colorado, Doctors Care is hosting a FREE event on Saturday, November 15 to help individuals get connected to affordable health coverage. If you or someone you know is uninsured, renewing a plan, or has questions about current coverage, Doctors Care has Certified Health Coverage guides, both English and Spanish speaking, to answer questions about Medicaid, CHP+, Medicare, and subsidized plans.

 

- Drop-in, one-on-one assistance:  11am - 4pm
- SmartChoice Insurance Classes:  9-11am or 1-3pm (advance registration required for classes)

This event is offered in conjunction with South Metro Health Alliance and Colorado State University.

New Patient Portal

Doctors Care announces the recent launch of a patient portal, which allows clinic patients to have online access to their medical history, vaccine records, and other commonly requested items.

 

Other portal features include online patient education resources and the ability to communicate with providers via secure email. Doctors Care is pleased to provide this new tool which helps create a better individual and family experience for clinic patients. 

New On-Site Clinic Therapist
Doctors Care now has an on-site therapist available to treat clinic patients and their families. Through a partnership with Arapahoe Douglas Mental Health Network (ADMHN), therapist Cortni Crawley offers behavioral health therapy sessions for a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. Denver Seminary Project

Special thanks to the Denver Seminary group of volunteers who picked Doctors Care for their "Day to Serve 2014" project. The group of eight transformed our formerly-dingy basement meeting room and hallway to a freshly painted, usable Lower Level Learning Space. We are very grateful for their time and talents.

Doctors Care welcomes two new staff members.

 

Alejandra Lerma, Bilingual Services and Outreach Coordinator, serves as a Spanish-speaking interpreter for our Connection to Coverage, Access for the Uninsured, and Health Navigation services.

 

Carol Bloodworth, Development and Marketing Manager, brings experience in graphic design, marketing, and non profit administration.
