CETA - Information & Discussion session
The Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), signed in the fall of 2014, is Canada’s most ambitious trade initiative, broader in scope and deeper in ambition than the historic North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).  However, the agreement has raised some questions about the overall impact on Newfoundland & Labrador.

Join us for an information and discussion session led by Canada’s and Newfoundland and Labrador’s lead negotiators for the agreement.

Attend in person or by webinar!

Workshop:  The Lifelong Impact of Adverse Experiences in the Early Years
Recent research shows that infants and children facing chronic adversity are likely to experience a broad range of difficulties and impairments in life. These range from emotional, behavioural, interpersonal, educational and stress-related adjustment difficulties in adolescence, to more severe concerns, such as mental health problems and criminal offending later in life.

Join the Harris Centre and the  Division of Community Health and Humanities, Faculty of Medicine for a half-day workshop to explore recent research and engage participants in an action-oriented discussion.

Wednesday, June 1, 2016, 8:30am to 12:30pm
The Lantern, 35 Barnes Road
Registration is free but required

This event was originally scheduled for April 27. If you registered for the event in April, please re-register if you wish to attend the session on June 1st.
