The results are in & they are fantastic!

It is that time of the year that we receive the final results of our hard work. The results of university entrance exams are out, and as usual, we witnessed a great number of our students get accepted to top universities. I am happy to report that out of 9300 students that Child Foundation supports, 420 of them who recently got their high school diplomas applied for higher educational institutions, and 314 of them got accepted to top universities and colleges.

Out of these numbers, six will go to medical school, 14 will major in health sciences, and 40 will pursue an engineering major. We congratulate them all, and with your help, we will continue supporting them with Child Foundation's scholarship until they graduate.

Our Director of Administration and Accounting, Mr. Reza Eshghi is in Tehran for our yearly auditing of the local operations. Child Foundation has a monthly and annual auditing system in place to make sure that every penny donated to us is spent on causes that our donors had intended. Reza also had an opportunity to visit a few of local operations in cities of Rey and Kashan, met with Negin Orphanage in Kashan and directors of Muscular Dystrophy Association in Tehran to see how we can support the education of their students.

Child Foundation-Iran had opened its 28th and 29th offices in the cities of Lar and Sanandaj. This means now we can support more students in need to continue their education. I encourage you to visit our waiting list page here to see who can benefit from your generosity to have a better life through education.

Backpacks of Hope

School had started and our offices were able to provide thousands of backpacks to children in need. Your generosity and support helped us send many students to school with brand new backpacks filled with notebooks and other school supplies.

We are not done yet, and we are still collecting donations to provide more backpacks for areas where children have not received any.

This year, each "Backpack of Hope" is estimated to cost $75 for each person. We are inviting you to participate in this program through your donations for providing one or more (or even a portion) of a backpack by clicking  here .

For those who donate at least 10 Backpacks of Hope, we will send pictures and information of children who have benefited from their generosity.
We Need YOUR Help

Yes, we need your help for a couple of our upcoming projects just in time for the holiday season. You can help us launch one or both of them in the city you live.
  1. Children Painting Exhibition: In association with HEART (Health, Earth, Art) Organization, we are working on a painting exhibition as a part of the 3rd International Festival of Paintings for Pediatric Patients in Kharkiv, Ukraine. You can help us in organizing a simultaneous exhibition in your city. If you work in a hospital or any center that provides services to children, you can help us. Just drop us an e-mail or call our office and we will send you all the information you need to start working on this.

  2. Toy-Drive for Holidays: For the last few years we have held Toy-drives in Boston, Los Angeles, and here in Portland. Now we are ready to expand this beautiful cause to other cities. It is not as complicated as you may think, all we need are some volunteers with big hearts who are willing to spend a few quality hours outreaching, collecting and dropping off toys. If you are interested in having this fabulous event in your area please send us an email and we will guide you every step of the way to have a successful event that creates happiness for many children in hospitals.

We live in dire conditions, and I need your support to continue my education.

Our First Podcast
Our staff and volunteers produced a Podcast in the Persian language. We invite you to listen and let us know what you think about it. Here is its link.

This is our first production, and we will keep the subject on education and children. If you are interested in helping us, please drop us an e-mail here and give us feed back on our podcast debut.

Next step is producing it in English.
Our Los Angeles Office
In the interest of improving our efficiency and further cost savings, we have reorganized the LA office.

We are now focusing more than before on our valuable volunteers whom with their help expand our fundraising events in southern California. One of our supporters in the Woodland Hills area has also offered us an office space on non-gratis basis for us as needed.

We always need volunteers, not only in LA but in other cities as well. To join our team of wonderful volunteers, please use our volunteer application here.

Thanks you and lets do some good together!
