Volume 05 | April 3, 2017

Rebecca was the daughter of former FRHS assistant principal Mr. Buddy Read.  This project was part of her Girl Scout service project to provide feminine hygiene products to the domestic abuse victims in battered women's shelters. This summer, Rebecca lost her life in a car accident. She was a beautiful vocalist, community leader and was to start her freshman year at TCU this fall.  Stacy Edington, the project leader, has asked to continue this project as our AVID spring community service project and the FRHS "Thanks Not Pranks Initiative".  Our AVID students, with permission from the Read Family, have taken on this project in memory of Rebecca.

Items to be donated:

  • Deodorant
  • Feminine products
  • Shampoo / conditioner
  • Hairbrush / combs
  • Toothbrush / toothpaste
  • Disposable razors

Items are being collected in Blue Box Project bins around the campus and in the AVID room, 167.

Project Graduation is a parent group organized to raise funds to provide a drug and alcohol free celebration for every graduating senior on the evening of graduation.

The parents of FRHS seniors come together to make possible a memorable, safe, fun, all night after-graduation celebration that keeps the graduates off the road, prevents any of them from becoming an accident statistic, and allows parents to rest easy knowing that their son/daughter is safely celebrating with peers.

2017 Campus Climate Survey

Keller ISD is offering parents, employees, and students the opportunity to provide feedback about District schools in its 2017 Campus Climate Survey.

The survey asks for feedback regarding academic preparation, student support, parent engagement, school operations, school leadership and more. Survey results will be built into the new accountability metric to help district leaders understand where Keller ISD campuses are succeeding and where they can improve.

Annual Powder Puff game will take place on April 13th at 6 PM. Tickets are $5 at the gate or $4 if you bring a  Blue Box Project  item for donation. The class with the most items donated wins up to $200 towards their class account.
