You Fill Out the Agreement & SPBID Will Water the Tree

Does your block needs new trees?  There is an amazing opportunity for new trees to be planted almost immediately!

The Bureau of Sanitation has approximately 1,000 trees that they want to plant in the community, as long as someone promises to water them.  They also have money to cut sidewalks and install new trees.  As long as someone can water these trees, they are ready to cut sidewalks and plant trees tomorrow!

As property owners or managers, you can request a new tree today, and the BID will promise to water it.  Please contact Amanda at the SP BID if you sign up, so we are aware there is a tree in need of water!

For more info, click here or go to environmentla.org and click on "Sign Up For a Tree".

SP BID Extreme Customer Service TrainingCustomer

Safety Ambassadors Hone Existing Skills & Learn New Ones

This past week, the SP BID Safety Team was trained in "Extreme Customer Service".  The goal of the training was for the team to learn and implement a new level of customer service in their daily duties.

The team was trained in how to meet the general public's expectations when providing a service, then how to exceed those expectations.

Topics discussed included focusing on the individual with whom you are speaking, making the first move in an approach, always giving more information, greet everyone as a friend and smile, and interacting positively with the public.  We hope that this extra training will help increase your positive experience with our officers from now onward.

Let's Work Together to Prevent GraffitiGraffiti

SP BID Asks You to Secure Your Property Against Crime

The South Park BID's maintenance crew will clean up graffiti within 24 hours of notification.  Our team does its best to seek out graffiti to remove and respond to your requests, but half of the battle against these crimes is prevention.

Check your property or business for burnt out light bulbs, unsecured gates and fences, and easy access to the roof.  By working together, individual properties and the BID can help keep graffiti at bay.
