BALANCE AND MOVEMENT CLASS

from the Great Courses. The presenter is Dr. Jodi Magness who is the Kenan Distinguished Professor for Teaching Excellence in Early Judaism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Schedule as follows:

FRIDAY MORNING BINGO
Join us for FRIDAY morning weekly Bingo in the Parish Hall. Doors open at 9:30 am, and games begin 10:30 am. Lunch is served for $3. Our players come for the camaraderie as well as the prizes. See you there!

If you are people loving and have four hours every two weeks on Friday to share with St. Lukes, the Bingo Program could use your help. BINGO ITALIAN NIGHT
Don’t forget, the next Bingo Italian Night is Thursday, May 17, 2018! For the very reasonable price of $10, each person will receive a small Bingo Card and a Pasta Dinner with Salad and Dessert. Beer & Wine will be available for a donation as will the purchase of additional cards and specials. Come join us for a night of fun and fellowship. The doors open at 5pm, dinner will be at 5:30pm and Bingo will promptly begin at 6:30pm.
CHILDREN'S BOOKS NEEDED
Saturday August 4, 2018 is the date for the Back to School Back Pack Event and again I am asking for help with children's books. Each year we give away at least 500 backpacks, free haircuts and lots of other goodies and BOOKS. Books range from kindergarten to 8
grade and each student chooses a book to take from the book corner before they exit. Please leave books at the rear of the church and I will collect them. Monetary contributions can be placed in an Offering envelope, please indicate on the envelope the offering is for ‘Books for 8/4’. Your help will be truly appreciated! 'JUNGLE BOOK' THEATRICAL PERFORMANCE CAMP
JUNGLE BOOK, the play, is coming!!! You are invited to the finale of the summer performance camp on June 29
at 6pm. On June 11
we will welcome approximately 15 students to St. Luke’s School of the Arts for three weeks - 15 full days that, by the way, begin with meditation! We need a registrar to greet mornings, two daily teams for snacks (as well as the snacks which is a separate sign-up), and afternoon teams (1-5pm) of two for one-two hour stretches to meet our compliance with Children’s SafeChurch requirements. Sign-up sheets are in the Parish Hall. While you are there, please buy some chances on the Quilt Raffle ($1 for 1; $5 for 6). The proceeds support our scholarships! Thank you for all that you can do to enrich a child’s life experience this summer!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
St. Luke's VBS program will be held July 16-20, 9am to noon with option for lunch and childcare until 3pm. Preschool and elementary school age students. Middle and high school students welcome as leaders. Help kids discover important Bible truths in fresh new ways!
