Steward of the Month for May

Patty Hamilton
Please congratulate Patty Hamilton on her selection by the Vestry as our Steward of the Month.  Patty is being specifically recognized for her untiring efforts toward bringing our accounting back into the church.  She has worked many hours setting up both of our new accounting programs, ServantKeeper (our donor management program) and QuickBooks (our accounting software).  She has entered all of the ending balances for 2014 and most of the postings year to date.  She contributed to the hiring process of our new in-house accountant, Kristi Nelson and has successfully interfaced with our previous accountant to smoothly transition the accounting process. Patty has single-handedly set up ServantKeeper to ensure correct application of donor funds to their intended ministries.  In addition to these duties, she has been helping Theresa Dorminey establish a well run office after the move from the old building to the new offices. Patty, as many others do and have done in the past, exemplifies the definition of a good Steward.  She truly lives the time, talent and treasure commitment that so many of us at St. Nicholas strive for.
"Well done, good and faithful servant!"

SNICK donates offertory

Each Wednesday night when SNICK was meeting, the offertory plate was passed as part of the Family Worship Service.

At their last service, the children met to decide where their offertory money would go. They decided to give it to the American Cancer Society. A letter along with a check will be sent to the American Cancer Society from the St. Nicholas SNICK group.

Congratulations to

Stewardship Thought of the Month

"In being stewards of the church, for, as we are told, the church of God is the household of God and it is  essential to practice the stewardship there.

The life of a Christian steward, lived in the imitation of the  life of Christ, is challenging, even difficult in many  ways; but both here and hereafter it is charged with  intense Joy."

Please help Patty Hamilton keep the church directory as up-to-date as possible. If you have not yet filled out a form, please pick one up in the cloister room and return to the church office. Or you can send your info via email to Patty Hamilton at  [email protected].

  1. Please include:your names and the names of your minor children,
  2. address,
  3. email addresses,
  4. phone numbers (cell and home),
  5. birthdays and anniversaries.

If you need a new picture or a new name tag, indicate that as well.  Feel free to use a favorite picture. Just send it in jpeg form to [email protected].

Mobile App Installation Instructions

Church members can view the St. Nicholas Church Directory from their iPhone, iPad, Android or Kindle Fire by downloading the free Instant Church Directory Members App.

You may search for "Instant Church Directory" in the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Amazon Appstore, or use this link:

After installation, open the Instant Church Directory icon (it looks like a church).  It will ask for your email address.  If your email address is in our church directory, the program will generate a password for you and email it to you.

This worked great for most, but if you have any problems make sure you first check to see that your email address is in the church directory.

Than

Thank you, St. Nicholas family, for your active involvement in our parish.
