From Fr. Jeff:
Happy Valentine's Day! Valentine's Day is all about LOVE!
But love is a multi-faceted concept in our culture.
Jesus was all about love, but love seems to be the thing Christians struggle with the most.
Do we love just those who are like us, those who love us back? We are actually called to love everyone, which can be hard. What if someone says something mean to us?
We have to love them. What if we don't agree with someone on important matters? We have to love them.
What if they are our enemies? Jesus was clear on that one: love them. Today you will give and receive signs of love from spouses, partners, and significant others.
But also take a moment to give love to someone who you are at odds with. Surprise them with a smile, an encouraging note or text, a hug, or even an apology or forgiveness. You may discover how broad love can actually be.

Everyone needs to eat lunch after church, so why not eat together?
Our monthly "lunch bunch" will be gathering this
Sunday, February 19
at the Country Kitchen (at the Overlook on Highway 27).
We'll meet after the
11:00am
service, which will put us there between
12:30 and 12:45
.
This is an opportunity for our parish family to gather to further solidify our connections with one another.
Long-time members and newcomers alike are encouraged to come for good food and fellowship!
Due to the size of our group, we are not expecting to all sit together as one group.
We do encourage folks to gather in groups of 4-6, hopefully with parishioners you don't know well.
So if you get there first, go ahead and get a table for 4 or 6.

Religion is not a method, it is a life, a higher and supernatural life, mystical in its root and practical in its fruits; a communion with God, a calm and deep enthusiasm, a love which radiates, a force which acts, a happiness which overflows.

Mobile App Installation Instructions
Church members can view the St. Nicholas Church Directory from their iPhone, iPad, Android or Kindle Fire by downloading the free Instant Church Directory Members App.
You may search for "Instant Church Directory" in the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Amazon Appstore, or use this link:
After installation, open the Instant Church Directory icon (it looks like a church). It will ask for your email address. If your email address is in our church directory, the program will generate a password for you and email it to you.
This worked great for most, but if you have any problems make sure you first check to see that your email address is in the church directory.
