Ohio: Knife Ban Repeal Legislation Introduced
On December 18, Ohio Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus Co-Chair Senator Joe Uecker cosponsored Senate Bill 242, legislation that would repeal Ohio's prohibition against the manufacture or sale of certain types of knives. Switchblade knives, springblade knives, and gravity knives are legal to possess in Ohio, but the manufacture, sale or provision of these knives is currently prohibited other than for use by law enforcement agencies. Interactive Legislative and Regulatory Tracking Service Now Available on CSF Website
The Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF) States Program Team provides support for the 48 state legislative sportsmen's caucuses organized under the bipartisan National Assembly of Sportsmen's Caucuses (collectively over 2,000 state legislators), as well as the 36 members of the bipartisan Governors Sportsmen's Caucus. As part of this support, the States Program Team tracks legislation and regulations related to hunting, angling, recreational shooting, trapping, and other fish and wildlife conservation concerns across the country.
