Join the ROE and Celebrate Our Student Artists at the Student Photography Exhibition
The 4th Annual Kane County Student Photography Exhibition is this Thursday, December 14th from 6pm - 8pm at  Water Street Studios in Batavia, IL ! Join over 100 attendees for an evening of appetizers, entertainment, and celebration of our amazing student photographers.

This year had over 900 photos submitted from 333 high school students and 100 of the photos will be featured at the exhibition. Make sure to come to the event and support students throughout Kane County! Who Will You Nominate For Educator of the Year?
Mark your calendars for Educator of the Year 2018, held on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at the Q Center in St. Charles! The Educator of the Year Awards celebrate the teachers, administrators, and support staff that work everyday to provide a fantastic education for students throughout Kane County.

Nominations are now being accepted by the ROE through February 26th, 2018. The nomination packet can be found here . All nominees should be skillful, dedicated, and continue to play an active role in education. This year, the ROE has put together a video that explains how to nominate someone for EOTY. Did You Know Series: Fingerprinting
Did you know that the ROE provides fingerprinting services for all our Kane County public school districts? Illinois School Code requires all new employees to have both a State and FBI criminal background check. Last year, approximately 4,120 people were fingerprinted. The ROE also partners with Kane County government to fingerprint new employees each year.

Students Involved With Technology Conference 2018
Do any of your students love using technology in the classroom? The Students Involved with Technology (SIT) Conference could be a great learning opportunity for them! What makes the SIT conference unique is that it is completely prepared & presented by 3rd - 12th graders, truly being an event for students, by students. The event will be February 10, 2018 at Dekalb High School and registration is open until January 21, 2018.

Congratulations to our Illinois State Scholars
The Illinois State Scholars Program recognizes high school students for their outstanding academic achievements and this year over 1,300 students from Kane County were recognized! Congratulations to these students for being honored with this prestigious designation and to their teachers that helped them achieve this academic recognition.
