Last week's graduation and transition ceremonies offered opportunities for students, staff, family and friends to celebrate and share congratulations, love and gratitude. I hope those who participated enjoyed it as much as we did.
This week and through the summer, Sun Grove's hard working administration and staff will be participating in professional development, planning, classroom improvements and more. As plans progress and we have things of importance to share, we will continue to send out school-wide and classroom specific communications. Please be sure to read below about our new classroom portal and watch for an invite from Transparent Classroom. Montessori Compass is no longer used for communications.
After this week's Vine, only families who are enrolled for summer and the 2017-18 school year will continue to receive this communication. If your student has graduated we will migrate your contact information to our alumni list and you will receive special notifications of events or alumni opportunities only.
Kind regards,
Thanks and Gratitude
A special thank you to everyone who helped set up, tear down or participated in our graduation and transition ceremony!
School News

Toddler - Primary - Elementary Summer Programs:
Due to staffing and ratio compliance, drop in care in not available for  summer programs.

IMPORTANT: New Communication Portal:
As an administration we are carefully looking for ways to improve the parent communications experience and have found a product that offers components offered through Montessori Compass but also allow us to merge forms, sign ups and more into a one stop location for parents and administration.

The new program is called Transparent Classroom and this is the perfect time to transition as we close out the 2016-17 school year and move into the 2017-18 school year.

Those who returned 2017-18 re-enrollment contracts and those joining us as new families will receive an invitation from Transparent Classroom next week. Montessori Compass will no longer be an active communication portal for parents after May 26, 2017.

We will continue to send the Sun Grove Vine throughout the summer and any questions can be directed to staff in person or through their Sun Grove email address.

Thank you. We hope you find Transparent Classroom a user friendly and helpful communication portal!

The Seahorse room had an excellent week filled with fun events and ending with observing and supporting our graduating friends, as well as friends transitioning into other classrooms.

The Orca room presented yet another impressive showcase as students transported guests to Ancient Rome. Huge thanks for their assistance in setting up the porch for graduation. Students stood bye to cheer and support graduating and transition friends, but especially their fellow classmates who are transitioning to Middle School next year.
Staff and students enjoyed a bonding trip with next year's incoming students. The middle school also hosted a special graduation dinner with family and friends prior to the school-wide ceremony. Special thanks to the 7th year students who decorated and prepared the menu that our graduates requested.

We couldn't be prouder of the incredible young people heading to High School! Our students have shared that they are planning to take Honors, AP, and IB courses in public, private and charter schools located in Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River County.
