The first day of school is a few weeks away and we are looking forward to a joyous year of learning and growing! Please mark your calendar for Friday, August 11 and make arrangements for an evening out. This year's Parent Mixer is not only a great opportunity for new families to meet members of our community but it is a great opportunity for others to reconnect. We really want to see you because the more families we have, the better the event will be!
It was an exciting week as we received word that we could begin accepting the FTC Scholarship for qualifying low income families of children in grades K-8. The deadline for turning in award letters for the first round is August 3. If funds are available after this deadline then further awards will be given for the "Step up for Students" program. We would love to have families spread the word and more information can be found at Step up for Students.
August is an ideal month for enrollment and I would love to have a tour every day until school begins! Did you know we offer an $800 referral credit to families if another family enrolls based on your recommendation? Terms can be found in our Parent Handbook, located within Transparent Classroom.
Lastly, we have an important Parent Work Day coming up. Check out Transparent Classroom, watch for information and reminders in the Vine (scroll all the way down) and for emails from teachers to assure you have the information needed for a great start to the school year. As always, thank you for taking the time to stay up to date!
Kind regards,
Thanks and Gratitude

School shopping is a fun tradition for many families. If in doubt, please reference clothing guidelines in our Parent Handbook. We are hoping that families will embrace the opportunity to purchase school logo shirts and are requiring that older students wear them for field trips. Watch for the Order Form in the next Vine and/or provided in "all pages" within Transparent Classroom. Families also have the option to purchase their own shirts and drop them off at Daydreams Uniforms on Heritage Drive to be embroidered with the school logo for $6 per shirt.

School supplies are provided and we have limited storage space for the minimal things students are asked to bring. Please be sure to purchase lunchboxes are a standard size void of commercial characters. If your student is 6th year or younger please do not send a backpack.

This is Ms. Myra's last week before joining her family in S. Carolina. We continue to wish her the best and appreciate all she has done for Sun Grove. We are pleased that Brittney Dillon will begin training for this position on Monday. Brittney worked part time a Sun Grove for several years while completing her Bachelor's Degree and has the admiration and respect of many. We are thrilled and grateful to have her join us in this new role.
