SASEAS families,
It was wonderful to host such a large crowd for our St. Andrew campus Meet the Teacher Night last week.
The Seton campus staff and I look forward to welcoming K-5 parents to the annual
Meet the Teacher Night
this Thursday evening. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. with three classroom rotations to follow. We are asking families with last names A-M to bring a bottle of wine for the social, and PTO is providing light appetizers. Thank you to our PTO for all of their help organizing these important evenings.
Our sixth graders are currently enjoying a two-night leadership and team building retreat at Camp Kern. This is always such a memorable tradition for our students.
This Friday is an early dismissal for K-8 so our teachers can participate in ongoing spiritual and personal development. St. Andrew dismisses at 12:45 p.m. and Seton at 1:00 p.m. As a reminder, we use an adjusted schedule on these days, and lunch is not served. Please pack a heavy snack. St. Andrew students who are walking to local restaurants must have an approved note from home. Seton campus extended day will be open.
In Christ's peace and love,
Mark Wilburn, Principal

As you walk your child to their classroom this week, take a moment to look at all the wonderful things they’ve created that are hanging on the hallway walls. Our preschool classes are focusing on how God created us with the ability to see and that we can see beautiful colors.
I spied the three year old classes painting with water colors as they uncovered secret crayon relief drawings that were done in white on white paper. They got very excited as they discovered their name! They will also explore the gift of sight when they make binoculars from paper tubes.
The four year old classes are focused on shapes this week. They are making shape collages out of brightly colored paper as they learn to recognize and name their shapes. I’ve seen science experiments on the classroom windowsills as the children discover what happens when white carnations are placed in colored water, and when paper towel wicks transfer colors from one glass of water to the next.
The Pre-K class is learning about "welcomes" in religion class. They are reading the story about Jesus welcoming the children as he said, “Let the children come to me.” They are also reading the Brown Bear book by Eric Carle and making rainbow hats. The Pre-K class will wrap up the week with a Color Scavenger Hunt. They will try to find colors in nature as they walk around the school.
