Dear Members, Donors, and Colleagues,

It is expected that the Supreme Court of the United States will rule on the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act by the end of the month. As you know, the Colorado Coalition for the Medically Underserved has been a leader in health reform efforts in Colorado over the last fifteen years and we remain committed to working to improve our health care system regardless of the Supreme Court's decisions.

Throughout our history we have worked collaboratively with health care providers, policy makers, industry experts, advocates and individuals in communities across Colorado to bring about real change to improve the health of Coloradans. Currently, CCMU is proud to be a part of the work in Colorado to expand and improve health insurance options for individuals and small businesses in Colorado. In addition, we are working with colleagues at the state level and in communities across the state to address health care workforce challenges, address health care costs and transform the health care system.

Following the ruling by the Supreme Court, we will assess the decision's impact of the on our work and focus on finding the best path forward from where we are now.   As a trusted health care leader with expertise at both the policy and community level, CCMU remains committed to working to improve our health care system so that every Coloradan has the security of knowing they will have access to quality, affordable health care when they need it.
