How Valwood School Communicates with Families
Emails
The primary way Valwood School communicates with its families is through one regular weekly email,
The Valwood View
. This is new for the 2018-2019 school year. In previous years, each division sent out their own newsletter or deans letter at different days of the week and at different times, these documents are now being sent as attachments in
The Valwood View
. This change was made in an effort to streamline communication and lessen the number of emails coming to your inbox from us. If you do not receive this email, please contact Courtney Matthews at
[email protected] to be added to the weekly distribution.
The Valwood View
is Valwood School's newsletter, an e-mail publication sent every week on Thursday afternoons that includes news from all three divisions.
The Valwood View
is the primary way we communicate news about upcoming events, announcements about impending deadlines, and stories about our students’ accomplishments. You can always see the latest Valwood View at
www.valwood.org/parents/valwoodview.cfm
.
Submissions to
The Valwood View
must be sent to Courtney Matthews at
[email protected]
no later than the Wednesday prior to distribution. Submission requests after this deadline cannot be guaranteed inclusion. The dean of the division related to the event should be cc-ed on the request.
Sports This Week
is an email sent every Monday with a list of the coming week's athletic events, including middle and upper school sports. If you miss it, not to worry, at the time of distribution,
Sports This Week
is loaded onto the website and it is attached to
The Valwood View
each week.
Text Messages - Parent Alerts
Occasionally, it is prudent to communicate with parents by text message, particularly for operational announcements like inclement weather closings or other emergency communications. At least one cell phone number is required to be on file for every student. Please add/update your phone number in RenWeb. If you need help, contact Stacy Evans 229-242-8491.
