The Water's Fine! 1/27/16

COME ON IN! THE WATER'S FINE!!!!"
How well do I remember that phrase uttered throughout my childhood.
The first one in the water would oftentimes chide any hesitant soul to JUMP IN THE WATER!
One of my FAVORITE true stories is the story of CHRISTIAN BROADCAST NETWORK founder Pat Robinson.
He began his ministry employed as the Youth Minister of a local Church.
One day the Senior Pastor asked him an unusual question:
"
Pat, what do you think about/dream about when you shave your face every morning?"
Startled but honestly he confessed, "My dream of starting a Christian television network."
To which the wizened old Senior Pastor replied, "Then what are you doing working here for this ministry!!??"
So the question for you and I today is:
"
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT/DREAM ABOUT!!??"
And not just when you are shaving your face/putting on your make-up.
And/or do YOU even have any thoughts/dreams for the future?
WE know the Bible says:

Beloved, no matter what age, economic status, race, creed or color, let US take heart with the words and heart aspirations of Caleb who demanded:

Caleb was by now at least 85 plus years old and had waited-IN FAITH- for 45 years for this day to arrive-the day he received what he had PRAYED for/worked for/dreamed of!
How SCEERED (scared) he HAD TO of been when he even thought of/dreamed of reaching his vision/goal!!??
I PROUDLY think of so many of YOU whom I have had the joy and privilege of watching YOU do likewise!
YOU started a NEW journey of FAITH, (is there ever a day lived outside of FAITH!?).
Or, as Mama used to say, "WATCH OUT! THAT FIRST STEP IS A D OOZY!"
Just ask the first person who stepped into the PARTED waters of the Red Sea!!??
But they were the FIRST ones to get to the other side SAFELY and they were the ones who called out "Come on in-the water's fine!"
I learned and/or AM learning even today "THE KEY TO SUCCESS."
1)-BEGIN TO BEGIN!
2)-KEEP ON KEEPING ON!
Life is a journey, not a destination!
The JOY is in the journey!
REMEMBER today that our God is the God of "NEW!"
