Tradition suggests we visit the graves of our loved ones as a way of eliciting wonderful memories of times shared with them. A special service is held, which is called Kever Avot - at our ancestors' graveside.

Every year we receive such positive feedback from the families and students who receive these packages of sweet treats, holiday & ritual items, letters from the clergy and cards from the Religious School kids. 

Please submit your registration form by September 11, 2017 to ensure that your student will receive the Rosh Hashanah package.  Registration will continue through October 5, 2017.

Tzedakah boxes are located in the main lobby and near the sanctuary. August through October donations will be donated to Friends of IDF.

October Collections
Please drop off clean, new and GENTLY worn winter coats, gloves and scarves to be distributed to our neighbors in need during the annual Tikkun Alliance of the North Shore (TANS) Neighbors Helping Neighbors community outreach program.

Important High Holy Day Information

Dues Information/Ticket Pick Up Reminder
You may come in to the Temple office to pay your dues and pick up your High Holy Day tickets Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm through Wednesday, September 20. There will be special evening hours on Wednesday, September 13 and Monday, September 18 until 7:00pm for dues payments and ticket pickups. Tickets will be mailed out to those who pay their dues prior to September 14.

Reciprocal Ticket Requests
If you are visiting relatives in other areas and would like to worship with them at their Temple, please contact Betty in the Temple office (516.621.6800) and she will request courtesy seating for you. If you have out of town relatives visiting you, please have them contact their own Temple and have them fax (516.625.6020) a request and we will take care of it. We can only honor requests from members in good standing (i.e., you have paid your dues for 2017/2018). This program is intended for out of town visitors. We cannot honor requests for members of local Temples or Synagogues (i.e., Western Nassau County). We want to be as accommodating as possible, however, please do not ask us to break the rules.
