Advent Campaign 2016
Shepherds on the Search

The objective of our annual Advent Campaign is to  prepare our hearts and homes to celebrate the birth of Christ throughout Advent.

Throughout the week, students will gather the specified items and bring them to their class. For every item donated, a staff will be hung on a wool line in their classroom. The goal for the class is to hang every staff (essentially two items per student/week) each and every week.  If a goal is exceeded for a week, congratulations are in order! The count on the line restarts each week.

If a class meets their shepherd staff goal for the week, they will be able to participate in a dress-up day on the Tuesday, following the weekend. Homeroom teachers will keep you updated with regards to dress-up days and details.

Third week of Advent - Week of Dec. 12th
Discover shepherd in the bathroom - to collect toiletries (tooth brushes, toothpaste, soap, lotion, etc.) for those who are homeless. (Please do not send any liquids such as mouthwash, or sharp objects such as razors, though.) These items will be donated to the Mustard Seed Ministry, at their downtown location in Calgary.

For details on this week's mission, click HERE.

Questions? Please contact Mrs. Smerdely.

In preparartion for the season of Advent, we encourage our staff and families to watch Best Advent Ever ™, a daily video series produced by Dynamic Catholic. Each day they issue, via email to their subscribers, a 2 minute video - informing and inspiring us to live Advent to the fullest!
