Outdoor Education
Stay tuned for upcoming details about future snowshoeing and ski trips.
The Jr. Crusaders are excited to offer Strength and Conditioning within its program. Tamara Jarrett,
B.SC, CSCS, from Athlete Factory will be running 2 sessions in February and an additional 3 sessions in April/May. The Strength and Conditioning will focus on:
- Increasing Speed and Agility;
- Power when changing direction and acceleration;
- Introducing Energy Systems;
- Sprint Mechanics improving running; and
- Recovery
Teaching our kids at a young age how movement will play a major role in decreasing their risk of overuse injuries and other common injuries in sport. Also, building these habits early on is important for long-term development and ensuring athletes have proper muscle tone/tension to perform their sporting skills. All of these critical points will be taught through games and fun activity for the kids.
We look forward in having Tamara work with our kids!
