The Staff & Faculty at Clear Water Academy were blessed with another amazing meal at today's annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon. Thank you to our parent community, and to to Tina Green and Patrizia Ruggieri, for helping put together an amazing (and delicious) afternoon in recognition of the staff and teachers at the school. Clear Water Academy is pleased to offer our Men's Breakfast Series. Elements of Inspired Leadership provides a forum for men to help them in their formation and leadership as husbands, fathers and leaders in their work. Our theme for our series is "The Year of Mercy - The Final Stretch"
Our next breakfast will take place on
Wednesday, February 8th at 7:30 a.m. at the Petroleum Club.

2nd Annual Clear Water Academy Ladies' Virtue Party
We are pleased to offer, once again, the Clear Water Academy Virtue Party. This is a beautiful opportunity to have the women of Clear Water Academy (staff & faculty, the wives of staff & faculty, parents, grandparents) come together.
The event will be held on Monday, February 27th at 7:00 p.m. at the Calgary Golf and Country Club. The cost is $25/person and includes a glass of wine, coffee/tea, and dessert. Registration deadline is Tuesday, February 21st.

Social Media and Internet Safety with Constable Carter Duscheney
Constable Carter Duscheney from the Calgary Police Service will be at Clear Water Academy from February 6-8 presenting on safety when using social media and electronic devices for our students in Grade 4-12. The subject matter that he will present is timely, serious in nature, and preventative: how to keep oneself and others safe online, and what the risks and responsibilities are of online activity and electronic communication.
There will be a presentation taking place for parents on Thursday, March 9th at Coffee and Conversation in the Athlone Auditorium at 8:45 a.m. It is highly recommended that you attend.

Congratulations to Mrs. Ross's and Ms Warcop's Kindergarten classes for their donation to Mary's Meals! The Kindergarten students worked hard in December to each paint a unique and beautiful piece of artwork which was then made into Christmas cards that could then be purchased by their families. Through the sale of their Christmas art cards, the students raised $212.00 for Mary's Meals, which is enough to feed 13 children in Malawi, Africa for an entire school year. Way to go kids!
Thank you so much to the parents who supported their children with the purchase of the Christmas cards. A VERY special thank you to parents Jamie Horvath and Stephanie Hui for volunteering their afternoon in the classroom, to Lindsay Dunn and June Anne Hendrickson for their contributions, and of course, to Ms. Warcop and Mrs. Ross for coordinating the details to make this project happen for their students.
