Sunday, I bundled up to face the sleet and cold, wincing at the harsh contrast of the Easter lilies against a back drop of snow. My heart sank for a moment thinking of all the little flowers just starting to bloom...could they endure?
Today was a fresh start.
With temperatures momentarily warmed, I stepped outside for a walk. Greeting me along the sidewalk awaited cheery dandelion, baby sprigs of grass, and some determined pink hyacinth, all set to grow.
Though battered, the little plants remained undeterred.
Sometimes the harsh winds of life will batter us, and isolation, depression, and loss can leave us feeling a bitter cold. But hold on! The perils and challenges, the trials and obstacles can always be used for growth. Never stop.
Look for the ray of hope.
Sending you blessings, heartfelt joy, grace, and
LOVE.
