President Barton D. Darrell and Dr. Jason Mitchell, director of enrollment management for the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, announced an innovative academic partnership during a Feb. 22 news conference in Rogers Hall. T he accelerated 3+4 program will allow students to earn both a bachelor's degree and a Doctor of Pharmacy with one less year of coursework, allowing them to enter the workplace sooner. The partnership comes on the heels of the Early Assurance Program launched by Wesleyan with the UK College of Medicine in July of last year.

"The University of Kentucky and Kentucky Wesleyan have long worked together to produce great doctors, dentists, physical therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. This new collaboration with the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy is the latest extension of our work together to most efficiently and economically produce pharmacists for the benefit of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and people in other states where our students may choose to reside." - President Barton D. Darrell

Owensboro Theater Alliance Presents "Grease "

The newly-created Owensboro Theatre Alliance will present "Grease," an irreverent look at the lives of teens in the 50s as they struggle to find out who they are and where they belong March 9-11. Made timeless by the 70s play and movie, "Grease" explores teen angst with a beat guaranteed to make the audience want to dance.

"Grease" is a new collaborative production of the

Nate Gross, Wesleyan's director of theatre, is director of the play and co-producer with Drs. Amanda Dawson from Brescia and Julie Ledford from OCTC. Wesleyan professor Dennis Jewett is the music director.

Performances are March 9 at 7 p.m., March 10 at 2 and 7 p.m., and March 11 at 2 p.m. at the RiverPark Center.
