WORKERS ADDING DETAILS TO BRAYS BAYOU CONNECTOR TRAIL
Guarded Optimism: Workers installed a guardrail at the underpass of the Brays Bayou Connector Trail at Westpark Drive last week. Such finishing details signal that the project is nearing completion. "We're hoping to finish with installation of exercise equipment, landscaping and wayfinding elements by April," said Irma Sanchez, "Of course, as with any construction project, things might be delayed, but I'm optimistic."

Muralito at Rogerdale and Bellaire
Everyone's favorite mural artist Larry Crawford has completed yet another charming muralito - this one on the southern edge of the District at the intersection of Rogerdale Road and Bellaire Boulevard, next to the Home Depot.

This brings the total to eight murals Crawford has painted on traffic signal control boxes throughout the District. Up next: one final muralito (for awhile) at the northeast corner of Richmond Avenue and Wilcrest Drive.

TRAILS AND PARKS MASTER PLAN WORKSHOP FEB. 21
Trails and Parks Online Survey
You are invited to attend Westchase District's second Draft Master Plan Workshop for our Trails and Parks Master Plan. This free workshop will take place on Tuesday, February 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 10370 Richmond Avenue, Floor 8. At this workshop, we will review the Draft Master Plan which analyzes data gathered from surveys and prior community meetings.

The goal of the Trails and Parks Master Plan is to identify opportunities for existing and future trails, as well as improved streets that will connect parks and other points of interest while providing a meaningful open space system for District residents, employees and visitors. Your insight to Westchase District will help us to better understand where trails should be located, to determine the amenities needed within the parks and to help develop a program for park services at each recommended location.

Please RSVP by 3 p.m. on Friday Feburary 17 to Lauren Cullins, 713-780-9434.

Also, whether or not you attend the workshop, we invite you to take our online survey and let us know what amenities you'd like to see in our upcoming parks and to what points of interest you'd like to see our trails connect.
