Hancock County Trustees of Public Reserv ations Celebrate Significant Ties to Acadia National Park

In conjunction with the Centennial Celebration for Acadia National Park, on August 22 the Hancock  County Trustees of Public Reservations (Trustees) celebrated a recent land transfer they made to the United States of America for inclusion in Acadia National Park (ANP). Read more.

On September 6th,
the Trustees celebrated the significant role they played in the  formation and establishment of Acadia National Park with the dedication of a historical monument at the Blue Hill Overlook on Cadillac Mountain.  Read more.

Antiques Appraisal Events coming to Woodlawn  

Woodlawn is pleased to announce two exciting appraisal events with Skinner, Inc. Auctioneers & Appraisers of Boston, Massachusetts.

"What's it Worth?" - Friday, Sept. 30, 4:30 - 7:30pm
Appraisal Day at Woodlawn - Saturday, Oct. 1, 9am - 2 pm

"What's it Worth?" on Friday, Sept. 30 is an entertaining and educational program with Skinner appraisers who will discuss and appraise items brought by the guests. Space is limited, pre-registration is required. For details and to purchase tickets, click here.

Appraisal Day at Woodlawn, on Saturday Oct. 1 is open to the public.  Participants may bring up to 3 items for a professional appraisal. For details, click here.

Hundreds of area students come to Woodlawn for school programs in the fall.
It's September, Welcome Back Woodlawn School Programs

The Woodlawn School Program is shaping up for a very busy fall season with several hundred students coming this month, and nearly 300 students in the first week of October.  

Our school programs are funded with proceeds from the
Ellsworth Antiques Show at Woodlawn. These funds allow students to participate, free of charge.  To enjoy highlights from the 2016 Antiques Show, click here.

Open to the public on a first come, first serve basis. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Participants will meet individually with one of the Skinner appraisers and receive information and a verbal appraisal of their item(s).

What is it? is a learning experience that students really enjoy when they visit Woodlawn.  Here is your chance to identify a few objects in our collection.  If you can guess all three correctly, your efforts will be rewarded with a Christmas at Woodlawn house tour ticket that can be used any time between December 1 - 23, 2016.
