Lunch will be catered by Hethwood Market and the menu will include: hamburgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, chips, and ice cream novelties. Participants will be given a two tickets are check-n on the day of the event. One ticket will be used to redeem for their lunch and one will be used to redeem for their ice cream. Lunch will be served continuously from 12:30pm until 3:30pm throughout the duration of the event. So take your time and enjoy your hike, a delicious meal will be waiting for you when you are ready!
The Eastern Divide Band will be playing live at the main event area for during the entire event! So after your hike to the main event area, get yourself some food off the grill, pick out a nice grassy spot, and relax to enjoy an afternoon of bluegrass. There will be a limited number of camping chairs provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own chairs and blankets.

A memorial ceremony will be held at the end of the event at 3:30pm. Participants will be welcome to write memorial notes to be attached to a memorial wreath or to be ceremoniously burned throughout the event at the memorial wreath table area. Good Samaritan Hospice will also be partnering with the local Army Reserves to present a flag ceremony with a raising of the flag and salute as part of our memorial ceremony. As part of the memorial ceremony there will also be a dove release.

- EXCURSION HIKES -
Optional group hike excursions will be available at the main event area (parking lot D). The optional group hike excursions will leave from the main event area on a schedule of once every 30-45 minutes and participants will be able to join a group hike at their leisure. Walkabout Outfitters experienced trail guides, along with Roanoke County Park interpreters and guides from the Society of American Foresters, will be leading the group hike excursions on trails throughout Explore Park. Participants who choose to join an optional group hike excursion will be able to explore more hiking trails in this beautiful park as well as enjoy learning more about the local history, flora, and fauna.
