Love and Laughter open Many Hats' Eleventh Season!
Many Hats Theatre Company is opening their 11th season with the hilarious Canadian romantic comedy
Buying the Moose by Michael G. Wilmot.
Buying the Moose
is the story of two couples: Rob and Betty and Rob's brother Greg and his wife Cheryl. When Betty (Shannon French) catches Rob (Many Hats newcomer Jason Lane) in an embarrassing situation she immediately runs to Cheryl (Christa Phillips) to seek support. Little does she know that Rob is also seeking validation from Greg (Tony Collins).
What we have here is a failure to communicate as all hilarity breaks out when "he said, she said" careens off the rails!
Michael G. Wilmot is a Canadian playwright living
in London, Ontario. He spent a number of years in broadcasting and as a free-lance comedy writer for Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" and Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" before turning his hand to writing plays. Since then his plays have been produced all across North America as well as a recent translation of his comedy 'Love Shack' into Russian for a production there!
In the Many Hats production Jane Pilkey directs and Eric Hanston and Ben Amos wear the producer's hats. Eleanor Walker stage manages.
