Though this bill represents a last ditch effort to repeal the ACA and faces long odds, it is no less important for Maine organizations and individuals to weigh in with our Senate delegation and express our condemnation of this bill. Like previous repeal bills, this legislation would cause many millions of people to lose coverage, radically restructure and deeply cut Medicaid, and increase out-of-pocket costs for individual market consumers.
The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities released
that shows that Maine would lose $115 million in federal healthcare funding by 2026 under the bill's block grant and per-capita-cut formulas.
When Congress attempted to pass another harmful health care bill this summer, you sent emails, made phone calls and raised your voice--and it made all the difference.
Take a moment to contact Maine Senators today and urge them to oppose Cassidy-Graham health care bill.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to speak up for Maine children, youth and families. Please keep up the calls, emails and advocacy efforts -
your voice matters.
