Upcoming Events
We are excited to introduce you to the Friends of the South Carolina Libraries' monthly connection for news and information. Our goal is to inspire and energize Friends groups by creating a forum to tackle problems, celebrate what worked for your friends group, explore what didn't. But we can't accomplish this goal without your help.

We need content! If you have an idea for a story or want the newsletter to address an issue, simply click HERE to shoot us an email.

We can't wait to hear from you!

From the President's Desk

Welcome to the first edition of the FOSCL newsletter. Our Annual Meeting is just a few weeks away! We are encouraging all guests attending to bring items for the Friends Information Hub. Examples would be brochures or flyers about your local library or Friends group, promotional materials from past or upcoming fundraisers or small giveaways such as bookmarks or pens. Bring a sample or enough to share.

The board and I look forward to seeing you there – perfect chance to see the brand new Five Forks Branch Library.

FIVE FORKS ROLLS OUT THE RED CARPET FOR ANNUAL MEETING

Just two weeks after opening, the Five Forks Branch of the Greenville County Library will open it's doors to FOSCL members for the Annual Meeting, April 11 from 10 am to 2 pm.

The 28,000-square-foot library features a large active-learning area for children with an adjacent porch for hands-on play and social skill development, a quiet reading room, public computer area, dedicated space for teens, multipurpose collaboration space, a drive-up window for picking up reserved materials, and more.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the meeting and hope you take time to tour this beautiful new library.

GRATITUDE FOR OUR FALL MEETING

The board wishes to offer a heartfelt thanks the Del Webb Library of Indian Land, SC for hosting the October 24th meeting. The day was both uplifting and informative and wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of Nancy Berry, System Deputy Director/Branch Manager of the Dell Webb Library, Friends of Del Webb Library President, Mary Last, and Friends of the York County Library President, DeeAnna Brooks.
