Important dates and information from the Monsignor Clarke School PTO!
Welcome to New & Returning MCS Families!
MCS is fortunate to have a strong parent and teacher network dedicated to building a sense of community as well as assisting the school through volunteering and funding to address school needs and support enrichment activities.  In past years, the PTO has raised funds for the science lab, playground equipment, retreat space, smart boards, tablets and chrome books.  These efforts directly impact our children’s education and school environment.  Additionally, the PTO has planned various social events which bring MCS families together.   We strive to continue these efforts during the 2016-2017 school year.

We are excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to providing MCS families with some fun social events.  You should have received a survey which will assist us in targeting social activities that are of interest to MCS families.  Additionally, we plan to hold several events that will help the school fund a variety of enrichment and educational needs.  In order to accomplish this, we need your support and involvement more than ever!

We look forward to getting to know you and welcome your ideas and suggestions.  We look forward to another great school year!

We Need Your Support and Involvement This Year!
The PTO is a team effort!   Our success depends upon active participation by parents, guardians or other family members, as well as our dedicated teachers and staff. We welcome new members and new ideas! Studies have shown that students who have involved parents do better academically. We have opportunities to match the amount of time you can give. Just a few hours of your time will help us reach our goals.
Share Your Opinions & Expertise
Get involved!  Attend monthly PTO meetings to learn about upcoming events and become part of the decision making process.  Our first meeting will be held on September 19th at 7pm.  Child care will be available, and we plan to offer a teleconference option to increase participation and involvement.  More information will be sent a week before this meeting.
Support School Fundraisers
The PTO spearheads various fundraising events such as the magazine drive, Christmas Festival and golf tournament.  Additionally, there are a number of passive activities that bring additional funding to the school.  We are thankful for the generous support of MCS families, friends and the business community.  Your participation is essential to making our future fundraisers successful. Every little bit helps!
Consider Volunteering

PTO events would not be successful without the help of our fantastic volunteers.  We currently are looking to fill the following positions:

  • Parish Outreach Coordinator:  Currently open.  (We need you!)
  • Teacher Liaison:  New position for 2016/2017.  We are hoping to have one of our dedicated teachers  volunteer.

  • Class Parents:  All classrooms have a Class Parent who coordinates class specific events, and class specific information regarding PTO activities.  Class Parents will also be asked to encourage/coordinate parent participation in major events.

  • Event Coordinators and Volunteers:  We have various committee chairs that organize specific events.  We need your help and involvement.  An interest survey has been sent out that will also provide an opportunity for you to sign up for a leadership or committee level position.
Please consider volunteering and becoming involved!  Any amount of time is greatly appreciated.  If you would like more information or are interested in one or more events, please email [email protected]
