June 2018 Newsletter
We love our MCWC volunteers!

We cannot accomplish our mission and operate our agency without the help of our dedicated volunteers. These caring individuals give from their hearts as they assist us with a myriad of activities:

-Legal and Hospital Accompaniments
-Staffing our Resale Store, Something Special
-Office and Administrative Tasks
-Answering the Crisis Hotline
-Childcare Activities
-Cooking Casseroles and Baking Cakes and Cookies
-Organizing Donation Drives

Join us on Thursday July 19th for our quarterly VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION event!

At this day long orientation you will learn about our agency's mission and philosophy, each of our programs and about how you can be part of the amazing work we do. By the end of the day you will have a better understanding of what opportunities are available to you as a volunteer.
MCWC Welcomes New Employees!
This month we welcomed 16 new employees to the MCWC Family! We are excited to have each of you as part of the MCWC Family! Can’t wait to see the difference you are able to make in the lives of our clients!

Schools For Schools!
SHOUT OUT to the Sam Houston State University Alumni group for thinking of our clients and getting MCWC ready for Back to School. They stopped by with over 70 bags full of school supplies.

"Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today."
Beauty Inside & Out!
We want to give a big THANK YOU to the The Woodlands Wellness Cosmetic Center for coming to our shelter and making it look beautiful. They spent the day cleaning the play room and organizing donations. Your support speaks volumes and we are grateful for all you do for us.
Scouting To Make A Difference!
The wonderful San Jacinto Girl Scouts donated some greatly needed items for the MCWC Shelter! The Girl Scouts stated that it was their civic responsibility and an act of kindness that led them to help the Shelter.
Thank you for choosing our agency to be part of your great charity work.

NCL Montgomery Monarchs Soar!
We are so grateful for the commitment that this group of young ladies has made to our agency! Month in and month out they are amazing us with their kindness and dedication to making a difference in the lives of our clients. Early in the month, Brandy Hudson, stopped by to present MCWC with a very generous financial donation. We are honored that the Monarch Class of 2018 decided to donate their residual class funds to our agency.

Later in the month it was Montgomery Monarchs to the rescue again!! They are forever willing to step up to help us when we are in need. One phone call and they just ask When & Where? The next day they are knocking on our door to deliver and serve lunch for our residents at the shelter.
Soulful Summer!!
Huge SHOUT OUT to Chelsy & Bryana!! These sweet young ladies are spending time this summer volunteering at MCWC. Here they are doing the very important job of putting intake packets together.
