Rooftop billboard installations from beer brand Coors Light used reflective white roof coating from Mule-Hide Products to inspire people to make energy-efficient choices.

The “Chillboards” were painted atop 12 apartment buildings in Miami using A-300 Finish, part of Mule-Hide Products’ acrylic roof coating system. Described by Coors Light as “Ads Nobody Can See, But Everyone Can Feel,” they highlighted the benefits of reflective roof coatings in keeping buildings cooler and reducing air conditioning-related energy use and costs. 

More than 36 thousand square feet of black roof surface – the equivalent of 90 average-size billboards – was coated, with each rooftop featuring a phrase such as “Made to Chill,” “Ads Keep Temps Down,” “Chillboards Help Cut AC Costs,” “Chilling the Roof Up to 50 Degrees,” and “It’s Like a Coors Light for Your Roof.” The billboards used a new typeface called “coolest” that was designed to cover more than 95% of each roof’s surface.

Jeremy Grunewald has been promoted to national product manager.

In his new role, Grunewald has nationwide responsibility for the company’s portfolio of commercial roofing products, including single-ply membranes, insulation, fasteners, modified bitumen, roof coatings, sealants, adhesives, accessories and underlayments. He also spearheads the development and implementation of strategic opportunities for new and existing markets, products and systems.

Chris Love has joined Mule-Hide as territory manager – Coastal Carolina.

In his new role, Love will be the company’s lead contact with contractors throughout the territory. He will help ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to specification; work with contractors and ABC Supply Co. Inc. branch teams to develop the best solutions to meet property owners’ roofing needs; and provide ongoing product, technical and sales training for contractors and ABC Supply associates.

After working together for years, brothers-in-law Ryan and Devon recognized they had an opportunity to build on what they had learned in the roofing industry and provide quality roofing services on a smaller scale. Their goal for Klymit Roofing is to bring back the personal touch that is often missing in today’s market.
