FAQ - Roof Wrap

Q: Does Insurance Cover the Cost of Shur-Gard Roof Wrap?

A variety of insurance carriers cover the cost of installing a temporary roof with Shur-Gard Roof Wrap.

Q:Can Shur-Gard Roof Wrap be Installed to Cover an Entire Roof?

Yes. Shur-Gard Roof Wrap can used to create a complete, fully functioning, temporary roof.

Q: Can a Roof be Inspected After Shur-Gard Roof Wrap is Installed?

Yes, but it often will not be needed. As a best practice, installers should complete a roof report before installing the film. This includes photographing the roof and the property before work starts to document their condition and photographing the roof again after debris has been removed and the roof has been cleaned. If further inspection is required, the contractor can cut an access area in the film and then easily reseal the area after the inspection.

Q: What Warranty is Offered on Shur-Gard Roof Wrap?

Shur-Gard Roof Wrap is covered by a limited, materials-only warranty for one year from the date of product delivery. Any installation warranty offered is done so by the individual contractor completing the installation.
