Celebrate National Safety Month
The Occupational Safety and Health Organization is joining the National Safety Council (NSC) and other organizations in celebrating National Safety Month in June. This year's theme is "Keep Each Other Safe," and the NSC is offering materials on falls, fatigue, active shooter response, and ergonomics on the National Safety Month website . The site features free downloadable materials, including posters, tip sheets, and five-minute safety talks.

NLBMDA Celebrates National Homeownership Month

The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) celebrates President Donald Trump's proclamation that June is National Homeownership Month. NLBMDA is committed to working with Congress and the Administration on policies that help more Americans achieve the dream of owning a home.

Homeownership remains a priority for many Americans. According to the United States Census Bureau, the share of Americans who own their homes was 63.6 percent for the first quarter of 2017. Moreover, in a recent national Gallup survey, nearly seven in 10 non-home owners expect to buy a home within the next 10 years.

Preservation of the mortgage-interest deduction plays an important role in helping households of all income levels become homeowners. NLBMDA supports the tax incentive and opposes efforts to reduce or eliminate it as part of comprehensive tax reform.

Reforming burdensome regulations would also increase the nation's homeownership rate. A study from the National Association of Home Builders indicates that regulations imposed by government at all levels accounts for 24.3 percent of the final price of a new single-family home built for sale.
Time to Consider the MLA MEP

Three Ways to Make the Most of a Post-Holiday Workweek

I don't know about you, but the workday after a holiday has always felt a little disjointed to me. On one hand we should be ready to take on the world after an extra day or two of rest from work, but on the other hand, I find myself longing for more of that personal or family time that I got during the day off. If I'm not careful, I can find myself meandering through my day and not getting anything of real value accomplished. Read more .

Is Persistence the Key to Business Success? One common belief amongst business owners is that success is often the result of being in the right place at the right time. But here’s the thing: It’s not that simple. You can’t expect to appear on the scene and step into a big puddle of success. Success isn’t a one-shot deal. In fact, it can take 10 years to become an “overnight success.” Persistence can play a part in becoming successful. You have to show up and keep on showing up until you make it. Read more .

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action).

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
