Last Month's Activities:

February was an exciting month! We introduced 8 new schools into our GEAR UP family and are looking forward to supporting these students and their families throughout their academic journeys.  Last month we had over 50 students attend our college field trips to the University of Utah, Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University. Our GEAR UP students continue to find success through each of our regular occurring activities such as workshops, one-on-one advising sessions, tutoring, and more. Shout out to everyone who participated!  We want to thank Lost Boys Marketing for capturing this video! Alumni Spotlight: Joanna Trigueros

Joanna is a GEAR UP alumni from Roy High School. Who is currently studying Elementary Education at Weber State University. She is currently a lead mentor in GEAR UP. Joanna responded to her experience with GEAR UP, "Without getting involved in GEAR UP, I don't think I would have gone to college. I would not have known what classes to take, how to register, and meet with an academic advisor. In college, GEAR UP has helped me do well in my classes, learn about time management, and feel confident talking to my professors. I feel lucky to have been a part of GEAR UP.”
