Building the Cyber Coast
Students from Pine Forest High School represented Pensacola in the Cyber Cup Competition at the National Cyber Summit in Huntsville, Alabama on June 9th. Pine Forest High School's Cybersecurity Career Academy is preparing students for careers in our growing Cyber community.
DHS Cybersecurity Chief Visits
Dr. Phyllis Schneck, the Deputy Under Secretary for Cybersecurity and Communications for the National Protection and Programs Directorate, last week visited Pensacola to see how leaders are positioning Northwest Florida to be critical player in the world of cybersecurity. She met with students and local leaders at UWF to promote minority participation in technology fields.

The CAE honor is awarded by the United States Department of Homeland Security and NSA - National Security Agency to academic institutions that develop robust degree programs aimed at training the next generation of homeland security experts.
