Engagement is a mindset. It means being "present" with the person in front of you and not thinking about all the other things you have to do during the day. It is a way of establishing
"trust and credibility" with your customers or patients. To engage, you need to create dialogue.
Dialogue is more than having a conversation between two people. It means to stand without an opinion. It means to understand the person in front of you. And why is this so important? Because without engagement and dialogue your job becomes a process. Patients and customers will pick up on this immediately. A process will not help a patient over come their fears or gain your trust.
"It does matter what you do and 'do not' do." Take 8 minutes to watch this
