HT Honors Our Veterans
Both our Upper and Lower Schools commemorated Veteran’s Day with ceremonies to honor our retired and active duty service men and women. We thank them for their service and sacrifice on behalf of our nation and the freedoms we hold so dear. Click on the videos below to watch the services in their entirety.

LOWER SCHOOL NEWS & INFORMATION
The Lower School will be putting out our Lost & Found bin every Friday from 7:15 AM-5:30 PM for parents to come and search through. The bin will be out by the TWC. It is overflowing at the moment and students have not been looking through it to grab what is theirs, so if items are missing, we strongly encourage parents to search the bin.
LS Thanksgiving Basket Ingathering

The Lower School's Annual Thanksgiving Basket Ingathering Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 23rd. Service times are as follows:
  • Grades 4 - 6 (8:15am – 9:00am)
  • Grades 1 - 3 (9:45am – 10:30am)
  • Early Childhood (no service this year)

The Holy Trinity community works together to provide Thanksgiving meals for 26 families, in the Melbourne area. This collected effort presents a wonderful opportunity for our students to see their acts of service and love amplified in a tangible way during the Thanksgiving holiday season. The ceremony also provides the opportunity for our students to collectively pray for the families who will be receiving these baskets. With guest restrictions in place, the ceremony will be recorded and the link will be shared at a later date. For questions or additional information, please contact Chaplain Garcia at [email protected].

Upper School Seeking Donations for Thanksgiving Baskets for Deserving Area Families

Every year, the National Honor Society sponsors Holy Trinity's Thanksgiving Basket Blessing where classes collect non-perishable items from a list that will come with your basket. This year, the $5.00 family donation will be collected online through OnCampus (when students and parents log on, they will see a “new form” to fill out). We use this money to purchase the bins, turkeys or hams, fresh produce, pies and gift cards for the families that live in the Booker T. Washington neighborhood in North Melbourne. This year we are able to feed 39 families!

We would love all HT students, teachers and staff to contribute items. When you see the list, you will see basic pantry needs. Many students like to bring in more items (not listed), especially when they know there are young kids in the family, but, please, this is all voluntary! NHS purchases items to complete the basket, but the more you can collect, the less we have to purchase!

Products and donations are due on or before November 19th. The Upper School will hold its basket blessing ceremony on Tuesday, November 23rd. Many thanks in advance for helping us make this Thanksgiving special for deserving area families.

ALUMNI PROFILE

Holy Trinity Alumni Post Impressive Times in the NYC Marathon

Holy Trinity represented in last weekend's New York City Marathon with two Tiger Alumni! Both are Class of 2011 graduates and both had very impressive times.

Congratulations to:

  • David Kilgore - placed 38th with a time of 2:29:10
  • Jake Shuman - placed 223rd with a time of 2:48:34
As a kid, David Kilgore would chase alligators in the swamps of Palm Bay, Florida, and he still runs just as fearlessly. When David’s not busy being the face of "On" in New York and Philadelphia, he’s building mileage and tearing up trails. In 2019, he made his debut for Team USA at the Trail and Ultra Running World Championships.

At Holy Trinity, David became a four-time Florida state champion in Cross Country and on the track, where he was also an All-American. He ran for the University of Colorado for three years (2X PAC12 champion, NCAA Champion teams) and for one year at the University of Florida, where he graduated. He also did a semester at Oklahoma State University (A Big 12 conference champion team).
Jake attended Amherst College where he was a member of the football team and is currently Head of Business Development & Strategy at Prevail. a strategic marketing and communications firm based in Illinois.
