PHOTO OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Gavrish's 2nd and 3rd graders were blue all over learning about the science of the “NEW BLUE”, a recent discovery by the chemist Mas Subramanian in his laboratory at Oregon State University. Crayola Crayons recently experimented with their own new shade of blue calling it "Bluetiful." Groups worked together and recorded data and tried to choose which of the many blues out of a box of 48 crayons was Crayola’s new blue.
LOWER SCHOOL NEWS & INFORMATION
LS Thanksgiving Basket Ingathering

The Lower School's Annual Thanksgiving Basket Ingathering Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 23rd. Service times are as follows:

With guest restrictions in place, the ceremony will be recorded and the link will be shared at a later date. For questions or additional information, please contact Chaplain Garcia at [email protected].

Upper School Seeking Donations for Thanksgiving Baskets for Deserving Area Families

Every year, the National Honor Society sponsors Holy Trinity's Thanksgiving Basket Blessing where classes collect non-perishable items from a list that will come with your basket. This year, the $5.00 family donation will be collected online through OnCampus (when students and parents log on, they will see a “new form” to fill out). We use this money to purchase the bins, turkeys or hams, fresh produce, pies and gift cards for the families that live in the Booker T. Washington neighborhood in North Melbourne. This year we are able to feed 39 families!

We would love all HT students, teachers and staff to contribute items. When you see the list, you will see basic pantry needs. Many students like to bring in more items (not listed), especially when they know there are young kids in the family, but, please, this is all voluntary! NHS purchases items to complete the basket, but the more you can collect, the less we have to purchase!

Products and donations are due on November 19th. The Upper School will hold its basket blessing ceremony on Tuesday, November 23rd. Many thanks in advance for helping us make this Thanksgiving special for deserving area families.

Sixth grader Heidi Rauscher has a lead role in "A Thousand Clowns" opening tonight at Surfside Playhouse in Cocoa Beach. She plays Nicky, niece to non-conforming Murray, who is at risk from being removed from his care by the Child Welfare Board. "A Thousand Clowns" contains zero clowns and is based on the 1960s Broadway play and movie of the same name. A recent Florida Today story showcased the play and Heidi actually made the front page of the Entertainment section in the print edition!
