Concord Twp. would like to extend a huge congratulations to our very own Mitch Trubisky on being signed to the NFL. Trubisky attended Mentor High School and during his career, he passed for 9,126 yards and 92 touchdowns, rushed for 1,559 career yards and 33 touchdowns, and was recipient of the Ohio Mr. Football Award in 2012. Trubisky committed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to play college football. He now joins the Chicago Bears as of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Road News

Ravenna Road Repaving Project
The Lake County Engineering Department has released an announcement that Ravenna Road is being repaved from Auburn Road to SR 608 beginning May 1, 2017. Traffic shall be maintained at all times with no road closings. Estimated completion date is July 1, 2017. ­As weather and delays may occur, please remain alert and drive safe throughout the process.

SR 608 Bridge Replacement Project
The tentative schedule for the SR 608 Bridge Replacement Project is as follows:

March 28-May 8, 2017: Phase 1 - Complete water and sewer work

April 28-August 8, 2017: Phase 2 - Construct culvert, headwalls, wingwalls, etc. 

August 8-October 13, 2017: Phase 3 - Close SR 608, 45 day closure

The Greenway Pathway is closed in the area where the pathway goes under SR 608. In conjunction with the closing of the pathway, the Ravenna Road parking lot and pathway access is closed. Pathway access and parking at the Environmental Learning Center will remain available. The pathway is scheduled to reopen by late October.

Little Free Library

The Concord Township Recreation Department, partnered with the Friends of Morley Library, are thrilled to announce the opening of Concord’s first Little Free Library!  Located near the entrance to the Old Stone School at 7125 Ravenna Road, no library card is needed to take a book or leave a book.  We are deeply grateful to the Friends of Morley Library for their generous donation of funds to purchase the Little Free Library and look forward to future collaboration.
