With the Association of Community Theatres - Central Ontario and the Eastern Ontario Drama League Festivals finished for 2016, we now have all four productions chosen for Theatre Ontario Festival 2016 in North Bay.

The annual Theatre Ontario Festival is a showcase of outstanding community theatre productions; a classroom for passionate, dedicated community theatre artists; a celebration of excellence in community theatre; and a destination bringing together theatre lovers from across the province. Festival 2016 runs May 18 to 22.

Summer Student Opportunity
Seeking Education Assistant
We are seeking an Education Assistant to assist our Professional Theatre and Education Manager with the preparation of our annual adult summer theatre courses and to support our membership and communications departments and Youth Advisory Committee.  In order to apply you must be currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution or within 6 months of graduation.

We are pleased to announce the latest recipients of training grants through our Professional Theatre Training Program (PTTP). We thank all those who applied to the program. $36,055 was awarded in total among 13 recipients.

Annual General Meeting
Theatre Ontario invites all members to join us at our Annual General Meeting on Monday May 9th at 7:00pm at the Randolph Theatre, 736 Bathurst Street, Toronto (Bathurst subway station) and immediately afterward as our Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) presents “Now What: The Emerging Artists’ Guide to the Theatre Universe.” There will be a wine and cheese reception to follow.

Make a Difference with Theatre Games in Thunder Bay
We are seeking a theatre instructor in Thunder Bay for a short volunteer opportunity. You will make a short presentation (1.5 - 2 hours) demonstrating theatre games and techniques to camp counselors who will be working at summer literacy camps. You will be compensated with a modest honorarium.
