Youth Advisory Committee
Be the Voice of Youth in Theatre Today
We are currently seeking new members for our Youth Advisory Committee (YAC).
The YAC will be responsible for establishing and implementing a plan of action for the next twelve months with the aim of creating greater accessibility to youth interested in a career in theatre and/or youth passionate about fostering the next generation of theatre artists.

"Play Date", from the Youth Advisory Committee, was born out of the desire to help emerging artists feel situated in their larger theatre community even as they no longer have a school program to anchor them. 

"Intimacy for the Stage" Weekend Intensive
Thanks to an anonymous benefactor we are able to reduce the “Intimacy for the Stage” workshop rates by over 50%!

Learn the techniques and the language to stage human sexuality in a way that is professional, dynamic and focused on storytelling.

This weekend intensive runs November 12 and 13 in Toronto, led by Tonia Sina. Register by noon on November 9 to ensure your spot in the class.

Seeking Course Proposals for Summer Theatre Intensive 2017
We are seeking proposals from theatre instructors for courses for our 2017 Summer Theatre Intensive.

Our 2017 program will be taking place in early-to-mid August 2017. These courses are targeted to participants between ages of 18 to 65 and should be of interest to community theatre practitioners and theatre professionals alike.

In Memoriam
Remembering Andy Trasuk and Debra McLauchlan
We are sad to share the news of the passing of two former Theatre Ontario Board members in the past month.

Andy Trasuk of Cornwall, passed away on October 12. Andy was a former member of our Community Theatre Committee and a past President of the Eastern Ontario Drama League .

Debra McLauchlan of St. Catharines, passed away on October 31. Debra was a member of our Youth Theatre Training Program jury and the president of the Board of Carousel Players. There is a visitation on November 4.
