There's a sneaky rumour that Art in the Heart is going national. I'm told every day by visitors to our city, hunters of originality and art collectors from culturally charged places like for example Cambridge that they want a gallery and gift shop like this on their door step too.

All I can say is that I'll be doing my best to bring our brand, full of aspiration and love to the 4 corners of Great Britain and beyond. I'll keep you guessing. Haha. Here I am with a friend after the Kate Bush concert. "Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, ..unbelievable". Hope folk will be saying that about us!!

In this issue, we reveal the artists for our superb Summer Exhibition and how to get tickets . We keep you up to date with our forthcoming workshops in April and May and our new work opportunities .

We announce a win win deal for our loyal customers and you can get up to speed also with our new art and products including a great new brand from our latest artist, the youngest in our gallery, only 15.

LIGHTS PRISMS AND RAINBOWS PRIVATE VIEW AND SUMMER EXHIBITION

Lights Prisms and Rainbows. Summer Exhibition

On Friday 26th June 2015 any time from 5.30pm to 8pm, there will be a Private View for our Lights Prisms and Rainbows summer exhibition featuring new work by Luke Payn, Katie Timosenko and Gillian Durno. The evening will be action packed with music, entertainment and a complimetnary glass of wine. Ticket proceeds will go to Pyramid Pioneers, a Peterborough based project. Get your ticket now to avoid disappointment.

Our artists: Luke Payn is one of the driving forces of grass roots art in the city, Katie Timosenko has developed a strong UK collector base from our gallery and Gillian Durno always sells out at her annual studio exhibitions. What a line up!! Find out more about the concept behind this exhibition and why we grouped these 3 very different artists together.

The public exhibition runs from Saturday 27th June to Sunday 12th July as part of the Peterborough Artists' Open Studios

One of our very important remits, is to give work and volunteer opportunities to people from the area, especially young people. Our two Operations Managers started off as interns, experiencing a 3-6 month programme of training. Now they will be part of the next intern's training. So if you think you can go places in this industry, an internship with us could be the start.

We also offer structured training to work experience students from our local schools through the Skills Service. To date we have given work experience to 25 school students. Find out more
