IT'S FINE UNDERGROUND

While the weather's freezing above ground, root vegetables live throughout the winter, safely tucked away underground.Their leaves thrive above ground, to be used as cooking greens. They've got a great survival strategy, excellent nutritional value - and they're wonderfully tasty! What's not to like?

Find a colorful panoply of locally grown root vegetables, greens (for salads and cooking), onions, garlic, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbages and more cold weather favorites - all grown right here in the Hill Country. Eat where you live, live where you eat.

PASTURE RAISED CHICKEN

Hairston Creek Farm will bring dozens of fresh yard eggs and free-range chickens to market today. Their fryers and broilers are raised on their organic farm, eating organic feed and foraging for bugs and greens on open pasture. Their laying hens enjoy the same fine lifestyle. They're at market today!
