There's Still Time To Sip, Shop, and
Save A Life with The Rose
(Behind the scenes at Great Day Houston)
We still have a few days left in October, which means you still have time to sip, shop, and save a life by supporting local non-profit, The Rose, and visiting their partners.
SIP with Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q. Rudy's patrons who donate a dollar or more to The Rose during the month of October will receive a complimentary drink coupon and a free, pink, limited edition Rudy's Cup for a Cause.
Harness the power of pink when you SHOP Lamik Beauty's Rose Lipstick-a special shade created in honor of The Rose. Also, shop beautiful jewels from Brighton Collectibles. A percentage of sales from their Power of Pink collection goes to The Rose.
Sip and Shop participants help further the mission of The Rose-offering women quality breast health care, regardless of a woman's ability to pay. When you sip and shop at these partners of The Rose, you save a life!
The Rose Sip and Shop Campaign was featured on Great Day Houston with Deborah Duncan.

WALIPP Breaks Fundraising Record!
The William A. Lawson Institute for Peace and Prosperity (WALIPP) seeks to bridge the gap between the powerful and the powerless in the Houston community.
On October 1, 2016, the institute held its 2nd Annual Real Role Models Gala at the University of Houston Hilton Hotel.
The event celebrated 20 years of WALIPP's work and community engagement. Attendees and Honorees were treated to dinner and a performance by Ken Gayle.
All proceeds from the gala benefitted Lawson Academy-WALIPP's single-gender public charter school.
