Faculty Association Award for Outstanding Achievement

This award is granted to a graduating student from King's. It will be granted based on academic success, as well as individual and social achievements at the College and/or in the community. An overall average of at least 75% is required. Click here for more details and to apply.

Students in their final year, or second-last year of an undergraduate degree program, are invited to submit high-quality coursework to compete against top undergraduate scholars from around the world. Assistive Technology Conference
June 4, 8am-6pm

Those who support person with disabilities, either in post-secondary education, areas that lead to higher education, or those who assist after graduation, will find opportunities for education, networking and collaboration. Dr. Todd Cunningham will be exploring how Assistive Technology connects with learning profiles through his opening remarks and an afternoon workshop. Please consider submitting a proposal to present at the conference and share your expertise and experience. Proposals can be submitted online by April 17 at www.ATconference.ca. King's faculty, staff and students can register for a reduced fee of $50. Click here to register.

We wish you the best of luck as you study for your final exams! Remember to review your exam schedule early to avoid any conflicts. King's is offering a 24/7 Study Hall in the Darryl J. King Student Life Centre, and extended hours for Cardinal Carter Library. Please visit our website for information about transportationfood services and support resources while studying for, and writing, exams. 

 
There are some key free workshops this week in KC 119 designed to help you write better exams. Our workshop on essay exams is on Tuesday, 3:30 - 4:30pm, and multiple choice tests is on Wednesday, 2:30 - 3:30pm.

King's bids farewell to Cameron Stea
We are pleased to announce the promotion of Cameron Stea to the position of Food Service Director at the University of Lethbridge.

Cameron joined the Aramark team at King's four years ago as the Front Line Manager. Thanks to Cameron for his service, and we wish him the best of luck with his promotion!

Volunteer Summer Bursary Program

To provide OSAP students with the means to volunteer during the summer as a way of contributing to their community while gaining additional work experience in different fields. Students would receive recognition in the form of a bursary to assist with their financial obligation to King's for the subsequent academic year.

 

Funds are limited to qualified students on a first come, first serve basis.  Applications may be submitted as early as March 1, but no later than May 15 provided funds are still available. This program will close once maximum funding has been assigned for the coming academic year.
