Shine the Light on Woman Abuse

King's has gone purple for November to help Shine the Light on Woman Abuse as part of a campaign led by the London Abused Women's Centre. We join with other organizations and businesses around London in this campaign. Purple bows and lights are up around campus. Purple is a symbol of courage, survival and honour, and has come to symbolize the fight to end woman abuse. The goals of the campaign are to raise awareness of men's violence against women; to stand in solidarity with abused women and to support them in understanding that any shame and/or blame they may feel does not belong to them but to the perpetrators of their abuse; and to raise the profile of the community agencies that can provide abused women with help as they attempt to live their lives free from violence and abuse. If you need help to stop abuse King's Student Services provides personal counselling ,  or call Campus Police.
If you have submissions for Things@Kings please send them to
communication@kings.uwo.ca . Our deadline is Wednesday at noon for publication in the following Monday's newsletter. Please let us know about your events, or share your favourite campus photo.

Sincerely,
King's Communications Team

OSAP Income Update
It's time to update your OSAP application with the amount of income that you actually earned and estimate how much you'll earn while in school. Log into the OSAP website under "Check Status", go to your 15-16 OSAP application and select "Update Income".It is imperative that you review and update your incomes with OSAP, regardless of whether there is a change to be made. All OSAP students who have received OSAP funding this term should be completing this electronic income update. Students who completed an application for the 30% Ontario Tuition Grant only do not complete this income update. Students with changes to the award or scholarship section must complete an "OSAP Change Form" to update this information. This form is submitted to Student Financial Services at King's.
