Vendors & Artists Sought for 5th Annual 

Hooley on Kamm's Corners™

 

Be part of the fun and showcase your organization or business to 30,000 people from West Park and surrounding communities on Saturday, May 10. The event runs from Noon to 8 p.m. on Lorain Avenue between Rocky River Drive and West 165th Street. 

 

It's West Park's Homecoming Celebration, featuring great food, live music, children's shows & activities, Irish dancers, pipes & drums, and more. Completed applications and vendor fees must be received in our office by April 4. Details and online registration information are accessible here!

 

New this year is Fine Art Alley, sheltered under a large tent. All work exhibited in Fine Art Alley must be original. It must be designed and produced by or under the supervision of the exhibiting artist. Additional details are in the vendor package.

KCDC is proud to be a Community Outreach sponsor of the Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) again this year. Program guides will be available starting February 24. Tickets go on sale to CIFF members only on Friday, February 28 -- one week before being accessible by others. A limited number of vouchers will be offered from our office. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter @KammsCorners for spontaneous voucher release notifications. These are first come, first served! Soon we will be posting a special code on our website that will provide a savings of $2 per ticket purchased. More than 475 film screenings will be exhibited in ten theaters at Tower City Cinemas at the festival. 
 
 

Employers Invited to Youth Job Fair

 

Over 250 area high school seniors and juniors signed up for a Youth Job and Community Service Fair sponsored by Bellaire-Puritas Development Corporation, West Park MyCom, and Youth Opportunities Unlimited. The event takes place on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gunning Park Recreation Center, 16700 Puritas Avenue. 

 

Local businesses and organizations are now being sought to set up information tables and provide information about job and service opportunities available for those attending. For details and the employer participation form, click here.


Get Ready for Spring by Joining the YMCA

The weather outside may be cold, but the pool inside our local West Park-Fairview Family YMCA is always 86 degrees! Check out the pool and aquatic programs that lay a foundation of water skills for a lifetime of safe swimming fun. And, swimming is a great way to get in shape for the summer.

Get your business on line with Google! The City of Cleveland invites business owners to a FREE event at Cleveland City Hall on Monday, March 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. Get help putting your business on Google Maps and creating a website. Details are in the flyer, here.

 

Cleveland's West Side Then & Now, a program presented by the West Park Historical Society, features slides from Public Square to the cliffs of Rocky River Valley on Tuesday, March 25, at 7 p.m. at the Cretan Party Center, 3853 West 168th Street. For details, email [email protected].
